The CVHS Library and English teachers present summer reading challenges! Log your reading. Earn badges, certificates and incentives with each book you read.
The reading lists for 2025-2026 HAmLit and APEL courses are now available. Reading lists are included in each Beanstack reading challenge and are also available on the CVHS HAmLit and APEL Google sites.
Books may be checked out at CVHS Library while supplies last. eBooks and AudioBooks may also be available. Check the local public library catalogs for additional copies including Castro Valley Public Library, Hayward Public Library, and San Leandro Public Library.
Read as many books as you can before the class starts. Log your reading in CVHS's Beanstack.
(Note: the CVHS Library is piloting Beanstack for in 25-26. You will be our first high school class to use it. Some titles on the teachers' lists are not yet available in Beanstack. Ms. Stambaugh will add them during the summer as they become available in Beanstack. Check back during the summer to log them as "read.")
