Castro Valley Library High School Library Card

You're all set!

CVHS Students use their Student ID as their library card.

Access to CVHS e-resources varies by resource. Check the "Access" information entry for each database. Typically a CVUSD email account will get you in.

Instructions for Getting an Alameda County eCard

Sign up for an Alameda County eCard. You will need this for your classes.

Sign up for your own personal Alameda County Public Library eCard.

The public library has access to different, and more, databases and e-resources than the high school library.

Triple your access to excellent content for your research and studies by using both libraries.

Your teachers will assign projects that require you to use databases and e-resources at both libraries.

Watch for library events at the High School Library to learn how to use the resources at both libraries.

Sign up for a Castro Valley Public Library eCard in three quick steps:

  1. Enter your birthdate
  2. Enter your name, home address (in Alameda County), phone and student email (CVHS Gmail account or other)
  3. You will instantly receive an account number. Save it somewhere!
  4. Test your access to the eLibrary with your new account number. (see Try it out! below)

Tip:

Write down your account number somewhere you will remember! If you have a cellphone, add it as a "Contact.".You will also receive a confirmation email from CircAdmin. Keep that message in a folder!
